Large groups can enjoy our spacious dining room (with amazing views) to gather, catch-up on the day, and plan tomorrow's adventure in the dry and warmth of the Lodge.
Guests currently have access to two kitchens for self-catering in the main Lodge. Well kitted out, they're perfect for whipping up a well-deserved meal after a day's hiking.
Our collaboration with nearby Lochinver Larder means you can buy a selection of their delicious luxury pies directly from our Lodge shop. Pick one, pop it in the oven, and enjoy. Yum!
Quench your thirst
There's nothing like that glorious glug of your first drink after a day of exploring - whether you've trekked up Ben More Assynt and Conival right behind the Lodge or spent a day out on the hills and waters of Assynt.
As well as offering a wide range of satisfying beverages, our shop also stocks a great selection of beer, cider and mixed cocktails. The perfect post-hike treat; pick your tipple and enjoy!
Our future vision for food and drink
A secret formula? Well, the new owners of Inchnadamph Lodge already operate Lochinver Larder, famous for its Pie Shop and 14 varieties of meat, vegetarian and sweet pies. They won 'Scotland's Best Meat Pie' in 2022, alongside other Gold awards. The good news is, Lochinver Pies are now available to purchase at the Lodge!
"We took over the Lochinver Pie Shop in January 2020, as new owners, and closed it down in March 2020! Covid restrictions forced us to innovate and so we installed the 'Pie Shack', a refurbished military truck with a raised platform, beside the River Inver and loch of Lochinver, serving pies to hungry customers.
We plan to bring more food and drink to the dinner table for both guests and pre-booked passers-by.
Inspired by the Italian auberges of the Alps (Osterias), our idea is to have everyone sitting in the dining-room at long tables eating together. One simple menu, pre-booked, mixing overnight guests with those travelling the Cape Wrath Trail en-route.
I myself know the usual routine of self-catering in Assynt - the mandatory stop-off at Tesco for a big supermarket shop on the way up from Inverness or Ullapool! We hope to change-up the routine at Inchnadamph Lodge by offering fixed menu dinners at the dining table. So stay posted for more details!
Sometimes a great day out exploring requires a perfect moment to relax and chill - to share stories of the day and to laugh out loud with new friends around the dining table. We hope to have a dialogue with past and present guests, to understand how you would like to 'feast and refuel' onsite."
