Stand Up Paddleboarding
‘Water wellness’ is all the rage at the moment and there is nowhere better to find your balance than on a Stand Up Paddle Board with WhatSUP Ullapool. Beginners can book a group or private lesson, while more experienced SUPers can hire a board and go solo.
Canyoneering
A company with many strings to their ‘outdoor adventure’ bow, Kayak Summer Isles also offer canyoneering trips in the dramatic Corrieshalloch Gorge, which was formed at the end of the last ice age. At 60 metres deep it is the deepest box canyon in the UK.
Sea Kayaking
Venture off the NC500 trail and into the wildly scenic territory of the Coigach Peninsula for a paddle around The Summer Isles archipelago. Sneak through sandstone caves and archways, spot seals and secluded sandy beaches for a trip of a lifetime.
Sea Tours

Fly Fishing
James Curley is a fly fishing guide offering day trips for beginners, families, individuals and seasoned enthusiasts. With over a hundred lochs in Coigach and Assynt to choose from, each teeming with plants and wildlife, you'll be spoiled for choice on your fly fishing adventure.
Smoo Cave
Smoo Cave is a natural sea cave located just outside of Durness village and is monumental in size. You can take a geological cave tour by boat and on foot, learn about the history of the cave.
Handa Island
A short ferry crossing over to the island of Handa leaves the pier at Tarbet. Handa Island has over 200,000 seabirds, more than 250 pairs of puffin, as well as otters, dolphins, minke whales, pilot whales, porpoises, basking sharks and the amazing orca (killer whales) also occasionally go by.
